Is your organization authentically centering youth voices?
I offer consulting for youth-serving organizations who want to build or improve their programs, systems, and cultures in a way that actually work for adolescents.
As adults, we often think we know best.
At most organizations who serve young people, good-intentioned adults build programs and processes that reflect what they think is best, without actually including teens in the process and asking what they want or need. That oversight shows up in the outcomes, through programs that miss the mark, spaces that feel cold or institutional, or staff that burns out trying to bridge the gap without proper support.
The organizations that make the most impact don’t just have good intentions. They’ve done the work of examining how they operate and made changes that reflect what adolescents actually want and need.
Caring about teens and centering their voices are two different things
What consulting looks like
Consulting engagements are custom and tailored to your needs. But while the scope, format, and timeline are unique, here’s where most of the work falls.
Authentic Youth Engagement
Most organizations want to meaningfully include teen perspectives, but don’t know how to do it in a way that’s genuine, sustainable, or actually useful.
I help organizations bring youth voices to the forefront in a way that gives young people real influence. This includes youth advisory council development and design, effective youth facilitation strategies, staff training on how to receive and act on youth input, and ongoing support as the structure takes shape.
Adolescent-Centered Program Design
Whether you’re reworking a program model or building something new, I help you look at your work through an adolescent-centered lens (with actual youth input!).
What does your intake process feel like to a 15-year-old? Does your space communicate a sense of belonging, or does it feel like it was built for someone else? These details matter, and I help you find them and fix them.
Hi, I’m Kaleigh
LMSW • LCSW • 15+ years direct practice with adolescents and organizations
I’ve spent 15+ years working directly with teens in clinical, community, and educational settings. That background shapes everything about how I approach organizational work, because I’ve seen firsthand what happens when systems work for teens, and when they don’t.
I’ve trained professionals in schools, nonprofits, and healthcare organizations across the country. I’ve developed youth advisory councils and helped organizations examine their assumptions and build something better.
I work alongside your team while asking the hard questions, listening to the people you serve, and helping you build something that lasts.
My consulting services are great if your organization is…
launching a new initiative
navigating organizational change
looking to improve youth-adult partnerships
developing a youth advisory council
seeking stronger youth engagement practices
building more inclusive and affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ youth
creating systems that better serve adolescents and their families
